The funniest list in the history of lists.

Whenever I head out the ballgame with my cronies, I almost always ask what song they would have played if they were a baseball player when they came out to bat. Of course, the main reason I ask this every time is because by the end of the game, we're usually too drunk to remember our conversations that well.

"Hey, man, you said you'd help me move!"
"I was drunk!"

Anyways, here's a list of the songs played for most MLB players as they head to the plate, or mound in some cases. It's a fun list, and you'll probably think, as I do, that most players have shitty tastes in music. Personally, I think the Phillies have the best taste, and I'm being really generous in saying so.

I know what you're asking yourself right now. What would Dave have played if his unfulfilled dreams of being a star center fielder hadn't been dashed on the rocks? Not surprisingly, there isn't just one:

The Joker, Steve Miller Band(did that for the HS talent show).
Thursday, Morphine(the opening riff is the best part).
Active Programming, Earthlings(dubbed the Dave Theme Song by my friend BT from Tower).
Held, Smog(sexiest percussion of any song, ever).
Imperial March as played by Joey deVilla(he is the king of all things accordion).
Down to This, Soul Coughing(one of my favorites).

I've undoubtedly omitted several other songs I would have played, but this list is already too long... good thing I got the bad knees, no?

For me, it would be "Spanish Flea" as performed by Herb Alpert and the Tijuana Brass Band.

I like it when they're witty. For example, Oliver Perez of the Pirates: OPP. That's funny. :)
