How sad is this?
It's being reported today that CGBG's may lose it's lease, ending 32 years of great music.
Suddenly, I'm feeling a pull to pay homage to the birthplace of punk. Road trip, anyone?

Not again.
Not again as in, "I don't want to go to CGBG again?" Or is it not again as in, "how can we possibly have this much in common?"
The latter, of course. I've been to NY many, many times. Last weekend, in fact. But I've never been to CBGBs.
If Mr Peabody ever shows up with the Wayback Machine, and says, "Sass, which period in musical history would you like to be transported to?" I would be torn between Las Vegas during the Rat Pack's heyday, and New York in 1978 when Blondie and the Talking Heads were playing at CBGBs.
